Phoenix’s Take Away Show.
A little less lustrous than the others since, after all, Phoenix is from (around) Paris themselves. But the quality is unreal.
“It’s a weird game going on between the band and the place where they play. A mesmerizing Eiffel Tower or Trocadero usually steal the show with their size and more or less spectacular tricks, but here’s a band no one would expect to find there, competing with all those crowd-pullers.”
From a mess to the masses. And 1901.
Oh, I’m not done. Here’s another video.
Pursuit of Happiness. The accompanying video radicalness to the song you know. I’m just waiting for the Stuff White People Like entry on KiD CuDi. ‘Cause I am and I do. Cudderisback.
Video Post. 'Cause you know there's nothing that good on TV tonight.
Except Iron Chef. Battle Zucchini. Duh.
Lykke Li singing “Little Bit” on the beach in Bermuda with a guitarrista who looks just like David Bowie. Sounds awesome with the ocean in the background. Lykke Li makes me want to be weirder and cooler. Crackerfarm just always delivers.
From the same label that launched The Avett Brothers we now have Sam Quinn and the Japan Ten. Quinn used to be half of The Everybodyfields. Although his beard rather disturbs me, I enjoyed this tuner. Reminds me of Damien Rice and Closer. The fiddler’s panty-line is so unfortunate.
And then there’s this Tegan and Sara song that I can’t stop listening to. This band always is right on my borderline of love and suicide-if-I-have-to-hear-it-again. It’s easier for me to listen to if I don’t have to look at the little lesbielves. But… this video is kinda cool.
Goofy as he is, Gabe Dixon does this stop motion thing better.
Enough!

I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You - Black Kids
This has been on Danny P’s playlists for months. I looooove office-dancing to it.

Sirius, is that you?
This looks like the 19 year old dog that I babysat. My main job was poking it to make sure it hadn’t died and was actually just sleeping. Ugh, I want a dog.

Hey everybody, all you need to know about life you can learn from Cat Stevens’ Father and Son. So listen to it!
The Johnny Cash/Fiona Apple version of this song is amazing, heartbreaking. Also heartbreaking because it’s trapped on my old hard drive where I can’t currently access it.

Yeahhh, that’s the spot.
Aspirations to one day have a home worthy of The Selby spotlight not even remotely assuaged by the most recent post.
The Longest Way.
The most intense No-shave November ever? Pretty cool.
